I was once proud of being born as a Hindu.
No longer it is so seeing the shameful behaviour of some people who are destroying our status as wiser people in the rest of the world.
We got that image due to the broad minded views of true Hindus like Gandhiji, Swami Vivekananda, Ravindra Natha Tagore, Sree Narayana Guru, Pandit Nehru, and all our great freedom fighters and Gurus of the past, I was truly proud of being born a Hindu once.
Inspite of the numerous Gods projected before us, I am yet to see a true God anywhere.
The Gods that I have seen are my parents – but they are no longer with me.
The Gods that I pray everyday in mind are my parents, my teachers and now my grandchildren too- to me they are true representative of God before me.
But I can see God in every suffering person too and hence I continue to do my work as a doctor.
Now I feel ashamed of that Hindu identity, only due to the behaviour of some present rulers at the centre.
They abuse Hindu identity by projecting Hindus as narrow minded fascists.
About politics in India
What I have realised over the years is that being ‘left’ in politics means only that you want to be right always.
Now the India Block is our left-wing in India.
The Labour Party winning in UK with huge majority is a proud moment for right thinking people across the world.
It shows left is going to stay no matter what the right wing forces do.
A humble request to the IINDIA block – please research on how to remain united for the one and only cause – ‘to save India from dictatorship and fascisms and bring back the lost glory of India’
Please do not go after power alone.
But please do not hate communists- keep them closer- even Nehru had done that- they are not enemies at all, as painted by some short- sighted people- they are the identity of true left wing movement.
Also know that being left is all about being right and being closer to truth and hence closer to the concept of God- because God is TRUTH and God is love for all human beings.
A humble request to our friends who are born in Islam- please stop the growth of fundamentalist culture because that is used as a fuel for the growth of the present Hindutva brand.
We are sick of all kinds of fascists tendencies.
We want freedom from both and we want a secular and democratic India which accepts all religions and has principles of socialism too.
