Does anyone think that the left parties have become irrelevant and they might become non existent in India?
I am not born into an LDF background.
After studying the society for long and when my opinions sounded like an LDF supporter, it is just natural reaction when you are trying to be principle centred- but a BJP activist very happily reminded me in a reply to me saying that
– The left is already dead – But let me assert that this comment is made out of ignorance or arrogance only
Left was there always, it is there always and it will be there as long as there is human existence.
Everyone should realise that every country has left and right wing parties and they come into power often alternating
In fact the left is there to correct the right
Even USA has a ‘left wing party with Joe Biden leading it
Trump is leading the extreme right wing there with all its inhuman policies
What India had seen in the last ten years was an extreme right wing politics with more inhuman policies than the right wing USA had
Please note that the Scandinavian countries still have left wing parties in power
Besides that the communist nations are ruled by left wing ideology but there is no effective right wing to oppose them with some issues but are minimal only because their policies are invariably people centred
UK which was ruled by the leftist regime had made huge progress for long including an efficient NHS, but has now deteriorated only because of the right wing domination under the influence of USA
USA, despite having maximum power and money, is suffering only because of its extreme right wing policies under the people like Trump
In short the left ideology is a vision for the people based on social justice and principle-centred behaviour with better distribution of wealth and human resources, for social uplift and to reduce rich- poor divide which is the principle of socialism or democratic socialism- Extremely rich people might feel slightly disadvantaged in a left ideology
Please understand now at least that ‘left is more often right’ in matters of social justice
Please also know that there is no democracy without a left wing party influencing the policies
When you say that the left is dead in India you mean that there is no democracy in India or your leaders were moving towards dictatorship
Secular nature of India is almost destroyed now.
In economic policies we now follow the worst model in the world that is USA
In religious outlooks we follow another worst model -that is Pakistan and Afghanistan
How many years are needed now to rebuild a secular image for India is a matter for deep debate
The unjustified dislike for communism and the Islamophobia are real diseases which needs urgent treatment now
We need to analyse every social issue in a principle centred manner rather than looking through our jaundiced eyes, but unfortunately now the jaundice has only deepened in the last ten years due to administration of poisonous messages manufactured by some paid workers
It is painful to realise that India now does not have a noble image that we once had in the world
All foreign countries used to genuinely respect India and the Indians till ten years ago. Now it is a thing of the past
It is now time to detoxify the minds of some of our friends, who are still retaining elements of humaneness, to save India and bring back the lost glory of this great nation built by great visionary leaders like Gandhiji.
