Dr. P K Sasidharan
At this point I am sharing some thoughts as a layman in politics.
Secular nature of India is almost destroyed now.
How many years are needed to rebuild a secular image for India? Is there anyone left to do that in future?
I feel India is following both Pakistan and USA now.
In economic policies we follow the worst model that is USA.
In religious outlooks we follow another worst model -Pakistan.
The countries which India should look at as models for development are the Nordic nations, or Canada at least.
Of course we can copy all the good things from all over the world to make India the best nation to live.
What if the other countries too make a similar decision as giving citizenship only to their major religion, whatever may be the justification that we offer for implementing CAA.
One bad move was enough to destroy all the goodwill that we had earned in seven decades.
It is painful to realise that India now does not have the noble image that we once had in the world.
All foreign countries used to genuinely respect India and the Indians.
Now it is a thing of the past
Is GDP alone the measure of progress?
To a layperson like me higher GDP and better infrastructure alone can’t make a developed India. The mindset of the people and the nation is important too
The Hindutva agenda has to be stopped forever if India has to progress as a developed nation
Electoral bonds and the note ban appeared to be just clever move to get funds only for the ruling dispensation
It appears that electoral bonds ensured organised extortion of money, that too often the money amassed by unholy means, and to also ensure that only the ruling dispensation gets the kickback
If it has to be genuine, it has to be transparent- let them make available all the details of the bonds, at the click of a button, including who purchased the bonds, at what point of time and how much was given to whom and for what purpose
Is India genuinely progressing?
We have started asserting that money and religion are more important than anything else.
I feel that we are fast transforming into a society which can be easily cheated by all holy cows and frauds
I assert that my only motive is a better and brighter India. This is the concern of a citizen who loves India and wants to live only in India.
I declare that I am not a member of any political party.
